Auronzo Refuge – Dolomites
The refuge is accessible, from the end of May to October, mainly through the municipal road that starts from Misurina. The opening and closing of the same is determined by the Municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, based on weather conditions. The paid parking service is established in the squares managed by the Municipality of Auronzo.
The refuge is 25 km from Auronzo di Cadore, 18 km from Cortina d’Ampezzo and 16 km from Alta Pusteria.
A second access to the Auronzo Refuge starts from Val Marzon, which opens on the right of state road 48 that leads to Misurina, about 6 km from the town of Auronzo; you follow the asphalt road for 5 km to the locality of Cason della Crosera (1350 metres) and then you climb on foot along a tiring path (no. 1104) and in 2.5 hours you reach the refuge.
Other accesses are possible from nearby refuges via numerous panoramic paths:
During the winter, the refuge (which usually opens on weekends, with only a bar-restaurant service) can be reached from the southern side, that is from Lake Misurina and Lake Antorno, on foot, with snowshoes or with mountaineering skis.
